The ProAc Response D30R is a British floorstanding speaker designed by ProAc founder Stewart Tyler. The "R" stands for its ribbon tweeter. It packs much of the larger Response D40's technology into a slim cabinet, delivering high-end sound without dominating the room.
Expect articulate, natural sound with precise imaging and a balanced tone that suits almost any genre. Classic styling and real wood veneer help it blend into any interior.
Design & Engineering
The D30R pairs a 6.5" carbon fibre mid/bass driver with ProAc's ribbon tweeter. The ribbon is lighter than a human hair, giving a smooth, detailed top end without harshness.
A side-vented port, borrowed from the D40, delivers deep, well-defined bass. Inside, a high-quality crossover with oxygen-free copper wiring supports bi-wiring and bi-amping.
Each cabinet is hand-built, acoustically damped and supplied with spikes for solid floor coupling. The D30R is easy to drive and works well with a wide range of amplifiers.
