The Audio Physic RHEA II is a high-performance German active subwoofer that adds deep, controlled bass to high-end stereo and home cinema systems. It isn't just a subwoofer: it's the heart thump beneath your favourite tracks and the rumble you feel in every movie moment. Low frequencies that were once lost or muddy become tight, defined and musical. It doesn't shout, it supports; it doesn't overwhelm, it completes. From the subtle sub-bass in an acoustic ballad to the explosive low end of a movie soundtrack, the RHEA II delivers bass with grace and authority, so you rediscover rhythms and emotional depth in every recording.
Design & Engineering
Engineered with meticulous German craftsmanship, the RHEA II pairs a 27cm (10.6") woofer with a matching passive radiator to reach down to 16Hz, below the limit of most full-range speakers. Crossover frequency, phase and gain are all adjustable, and settings can be made by remote control, so the subwoofer can be tuned to your main speakers and listening room rather than the other way around. For stereo systems, it connects either at speaker level, running in parallel with your main speakers from the amplifier's terminals, or at line level from a preamplifier. A bypass mode disables the internal crossover for home cinema processors that handle bass management themselves. Practical touches include a front display with multifunction switch, automatic standby after 20 minutes without signal, and adjustable spikes for stable, level placement.
