Created to celebrate 40 years of Clearaudio excellence, the Reference Jubilee is a limited-edition turntable that pays homage to the brand’s first Reference model from 1993. Its iconic V-shaped plinth returns, now crafted from Panzerholz — a dense, layered “armour-plated” wood sandwiched between aluminium — offering both strength and acoustic stability. The deck is supported by three adjustable spiked feet, while operation controls for 33⅓, 45, and 78rpm are neatly positioned for ease of use. Only 250 units of this £17,500 masterpiece have been produced worldwide.
At its heart lies Clearaudio’s innovative Ceramic Magnetic Bearing system, where the platter effectively “floats” thanks to magnetic support, reducing friction to an absolute minimum. The two-piece platter combines an 8.5kg stainless-steel base with a 5kg POM (polyoxymethylene) upper layer, delivering rotational stability and vibration control. A hybrid drive system blends analogue and digital control, using 1598 impulses per revolution to maintain precise speed, which can also be fine-tuned manually.
The Reference Jubilee comes paired with Clearaudio’s high-torque 24V DC motor, decoupled by 18 tensioned O-rings for silent performance, and powered by the dedicated Professional Power 24V supply. Fitted with the Universal 9-inch tonearm featuring a carbon fibre armtube and silver wiring, this limited-edition turntable is both a celebration of heritage and a statement of cutting-edge precision — a true collector’s piece for the discerning audiophile.
